AICELLE SANTOS RELEASES LIWANAG


AICELLE SANTOS is thrilled to announce the release of her latest album entitled “LIWANAG”. Self-produced and in partnership with HOMEWORKZ RECORDS (label owned by JayR), the EP has been released online and physical copies will be available in record stores nationwide on the first week of February 2016.

LIWANAG is not your typical love song playlist. Each song has a unique message that Aicelle wants to share with the world. We all need a little positivity in our lives and that is what her album aims to do for her listeners.

LIWANAG started as a prayer and inspired Aicelle to collaborate with friends and write songs about light, hope and love. Then came songs “Kapangyarihan Ng Pag-ibig” by Jungee Marcelo, “Palaging Ikaw” by Simon Peter Tan, “Be With You” by Arlene Calvo, “Imma Be By Your Side” by Gian Magdangal, and “Tuloy-Tuloy Lang” by Kiko Salazar.


Asked for her favorite, Aicelle, who is also part of the afternoon drama Buena Familia, says that all six songs are her favourites because each one is special. From the lyrics and melodies to instrumentation and mixing, each song was written with a heart and with a purpose. The music relieves the soul and mixing is really beautiful. “I'm really proud of this album,” she says.

Aicelle also shared her experience as a record producer. It was tough work for her but she enjoyed learning in the process. For the Kapuso artist, to hear and see the final output of her work is the best thing ever.
